A new feature added to the forum is the photo album. Each member can upload up to 20 pictures to their personal photo album with each picture being no larger than 300 KB. Members can also create up to five categories to store these photos in. Once a photo has been uploaded it is stored on the My Cypress Directory website and can be accessed and linked to from any other website.

Upload a Picture

To upload a picture to your photo album go to the My Cypress Directory Forum Photo Album at the bottom of the forum home page. Make sure you are logged in with your username and password and then choose the Edit Your Albums/Upload Photos option. Choose the Upload Files Into Album option. Click the browse button and locate the picture file on your computer that you want to upload. Once you have located the picture click you can type in a description. Select a category to upload to and click upload. The picture will then be uploaded to your photo album.  Click here to watch a video tutorial

Using a Picture in a Forum Posting

Once a photos is uploaded to the website it will be located in the following directory: http://www.mycypressdirectory.com/photos/yourusername/yourphotoname .  The photo will be saved with the same name as it was on your computer. So if username bob2005 uploaded a photo on his computer named "funny.jpg" the path to that photo when then be http://www/mycypressdirectory/photos/bob2005/funny.jpg. To add a picture to a posting simply choose the insert image option in the posting screen and type in the path to your uploaded  image.  To cut and paste the path to your picture follow these steps. Go to the My Cypress Directory Forum Photo Album and choose the Edit Your Albums/Upload Photos option. Scroll down and find the picture you would like to use. Right click on the picture and choose properties. Highlight the entire Address/URL. Right click and select copy. Return to the forum and when you are in the posting screen select the insert image option, place your curser between the [img] and [/img] tags and right click and choose paste.
